Considering how close Louisiana is, I have no idea how it could be this bad. Heck, several of the speciality markets ship so there is no excuse.
Food was decent and fairly priced. Server was below par. He didn't understand the concept of a rotating tap. We asked him what beers were available, he ran through the typical national brands. I asked what local beers they had available (I can't make this up), his response was"what are you looking for?" He hands us the green card with the beers, listed under drafts is rotating beer. I asked him what the rotating beer was, his response "I don't know." To a causal observer, this would seem like a good time to go check. That's not what we got; we never did find out what the rotating beer tap could have been. Instead the five of us just ordered off the green card. When the food arrived, it was a few degrees above room temperature. Any time we were looking for him, he was usually sitting in a booth with another customer(?). No plans to rush back anytime soon.
The staff has changed. The atmosphere has dampened. I have a severe food allergy and my order was wrong. It happens, but the manager thought it was a good idea to tell me what was safe for me. She proceeded to tell me "well other people have eaten this without problems." It was rude and thoughtless. As a manager in a restaurant she should better educate herself on safety for those with food allergies and be willing to listen to the customer as everyone with an allergy is different.
Despite the name, this place does not serve Cajun food. I would go so far as to say they don't even know what Cajun food is or how it should taste.
It's very rare to receive Grade-A service and a delicious meal on your first visit to a restaurant, but that's exactly what happened today. I had no idea what I wanted on the menu and my server "Christina L." suggested the Pimento Cheese Burger. I was definitely impressed by the taste because it was nothing like I expected. Glad I stopped by. Can't wait to taste the other menu items soon! * * * * *
I am a born and raised Cajun who can make the dishes from scratch. What this place serves is actually insulting to call Cajun.
Went there the other day. It was the first and LAST time. Paid 17.00 for a gator finger plate. WORST THING EVER. THE MEAT WAS A BUNCH OF LITTLE CHIPS of bread. BARELY and meat AT ALL. The fried had so much seasoning that's all you could taste. ONE very small piece of corn Cobb. NO SALAD and nothing else. This plate was worth about 8.00. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.
