Picnic, family event's, swimming area! This place has a lot to offer and at so little cost. If your Military you have a way to register to get into the place for free. If your not it's still ok at only five dollars per car! If you need a place to escape to and feel free with the wildlife you might see and the cool breeze. This is the ideal place for the weekends and when you have time.

Great for boating, hiking and biking. Lots of paths. There are snakes so be careful. Not good on rainy days. Nice views.

I had higher expectations for this place. It is pretty, but I have found nicer places on the water around here that don’t cost money to get in.

Great trails for hiking and mountain bike riding. Very peaceful and scenic. Bring plenty of water, wear a helmet when riding and sturdy shoes for hiking.

Huge lake for watercraft, with beach/swimming areas, in the park proper. Lots of campsites that looked well maintained, roads were well maintained, as was the beach areas I saw. Lots of people swimming, lots of people boating/jet skiing, and fishing.

This place has it all! Well, almost all. The terrains, vegetation, elevation, width, etc. of trails vary widely the further back in the park you get.The only thing these trails lack are any creek/stream/river crossings.

Personally, I think the "highlight" of the park is the "Twin peaks" trail. You go up onto at least one of the hills (today was my first time so far, didn't get to explore everything). You do gotta elevation change- hill climbs full of slippy-sliddy rocks, then some scrambling up some bigger boulders. but once on top: take in the views.
