So my daughter and I went in for new cuts. I was in a car accident and the dr said i should think of cutting my hair since i was having problems with its weight. (Naturally curly, long and thick.) I was unsure on whether or not i wanted to commit to super short hair and asked the stylist about just taking the weight off, ie internal cutting. She informed me "Thats just layering and will make your hair poofy" umm ok your the proffessional so we go with the short cut. I showed her 3 pictures. 2 are of the same person, same haircut, one was a side view the other is front view. 3rd picture was a bang length of what i wanted. First she razored my hair (which i was informed you do NOT do to curly hair as it splits the hair folicle and makes it poofy) i felt like i was being scalped! Second when i tried to ask her about something or tell her what i was thinking she would say "its your hair, its what you like" very rudely. Even the other stylist (working on my daughter) was shaking her head. When she was "finished" i said it doesnt look like the picture...she said well you have curly hair, this is a straight cut. Ok understood but the shape wasnt even right. At this point im too upset to even conversate and she said "when you go home and straighten it, itll look just like the picture. I just walked out to the car to wait on my daughter. Which by the way was sat before me and done after me because her stylist took her time to listen to my daughters wants, needs, wishes. She talked her through every step of the cut. After my daughter paid for the both of us im in tears as i drive home to straighten the cut. It looks horrible. I want to shave my head im so pissed. I call a SALON and make an apt to get my hair fixed the next day. After paying another 37$ to get my hair fixed i go to to speak to the area manager at another location. The stylist gather around to look at my hair pictures (before horrible cut and after horrible cut, and all mouths are gaped in disbelief). Now all the area Manager offers me is a free service. Umm thats not okay, 1-stylist needs to be written up for horrible attitude 2- send her back to cosmotology school so she doesnt ruin someone elses hair and 3- reimburse me for having to pay another place to fix it! I DO NOT WANT another service from you. I WILL NEVER set foot in another Great Clips. So not only have you lost my busines (big deal right because I am only one person) but we are a family of 6, i posted my horror story on FB and over 200 local people saw what was done to me. So thats another 200 people who know that this particular stylist has NO business cutting hair. And being a part of a HUGE Military family with friends all over the world, word of mouth travels fast.
These 5 star reviews have got to be from family and friends. Went there twice. First time they completely messed up my hair...figured I'd give them another chance, a year later...messed it up again!! Both times I asked for a medium to low shadow fade and each time to give me a damn near high fade with a zero, and the worst fades I've seen(it's like a straight line across my head). I can't see what they're doing because they always face me towards the divider or opposite the mirror so I can't see them cutting my hair until it's too late. By far the worst place in the Killeen area I've gone to get a hair cut. Beware if you decide to get a cut from there...based off the reviews on here, I wouldn't take the risk.
I've been seeing negative reviews of this place I was going to go during tomorrow to get my haircut but now I'm thinking twice I just needed somewhere quick and easy for a fade I don't think I'm gonna go to this great clips. I'll just go to BARBERS INC. in heights its a great barber and as long as you tell them what you want they'll get it done. I got a high skin taper fade and it was the best haircut I've had in a while. So don't go to great clips go to BARBERS inc.
Clean environment(Harker Heights by Wal-Mart market) my stylist is very polite & careful. I wish she was wearing a name tag so I could have put her name here.
Bee thinks the opposite of BK she wants to do your hair her way instead of your way. Then it comes out f*@ked up
